July 27th: Tuna, Dorado and Some Wahoo |

Quepos fishing is looking good right now for those looking to have some fun and put Tuna steaks on the table. There are a lot of boats catching their fill of Yellowfin Tuna in the 10 to 30 pound range. Boats are also reporting a decent Mahi Mahi bite and a few Wahoo here and there. Inshore fishing for Roosterfish and Snapper has been pretty decent over the last few days, but heavy rains have been affecting the water a bit. As I look out my window right now it looks as if we could have a nice little storm coming in off of the water at around 8am, which is not too uncommon for this time of year. As many people here say, if it doesn't rain in the morning this time of year it will almost definitely rain in the afternoon. We'll see.
Other news is that since we are moving our house is for sale. It is a 4 BR 2BA house walking distance to Quepos and the water. It has nice mountain views and a beautifully landscaped yard. Email me at
